I’m an editorial illustrator based in Aranjuez, a town near Madrid, Spain.
I make illustrations for press and magazines, book covers and large-format work.
My work focuses on conveying concepts and ideas through illustrations that communicate clear and meaningful messages, blending conceptual and figurative approaches. I build each image around a single figure or a scene charged with tension, using composition, perspective and light to carry the idea.
Throughout my career, I have gained experience in different disciplines such as architectural design, music or professional cooking, which form the core from which my whole imagery grows.
I believe in the power of images to complement, interpret, and even transform realities.
By the way, my name is Alberto Rey, and I would be delighted to chat with you. I’m open to editorial, book and large-format commissions.
